Rose Mary Pontious, 85 of Alvordton, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, Jan. 16, 2025, surrounded by family members. She was born Sept. 17, 1939, to Joseph and Rose Repka. Rose Mary married James Eisel on Nov. 16, 1957, and later married James Pontious on June 7, 1980.She treasured her life as a homemaker and a mother. As her children grew she worked in accounting and bookkeeping for Leininger Home Supply, Mendellson Egg Company and AirMate prior to her retirement. She attended Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church in Fayette, Ohio, and was a very active parishioner. Rose Mary enjoyed music, sewing and crafts, ceramics, water aerobics and making rugs. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family playing cards, games/puzzles, putting up sweet corn, making noodles, camping or just visiting.Rose Mary is survived by six children, Ron (Pat) Eisel, Jim (Pam) Eisel, Bob (Bobbie) Eisel, Sandra (George) Gagle, Randy (Becky) Eisel and Scott (Michelle) Eisel; son-in-law, Bob Momyer; sister
